Who We Are
We are a Reconciling Church. We are a part of the Reconciling Ministry Network. This organization has been a part of the United Methodist Church for decades and is a comprehensive and inclusive expression of faith. The statement of the reconciling church reflects this:
We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more. We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.
We are a United Methodist Church. Which means we believe that we’re saved by the grace of God revealed through our faith in Jesus Christ. This doesn’t look the same for every person. And each person’s journey is unique. But the grace that God offers in Jesus Christ is for every single person. You are meant to be the person you are.
We’re a gathering of people from different backgrounds and experiences. We have different perspectives on lots of things. But we agree on some very important things. We believe that no one is outside of the love of God and that no one is outside our responsibility to love as neighbors. You are free to be yourself here. We believe that God celebrates the diverse and varied people that we are.
You belong here.
